OUR STORY
Somewhere along the way, pontoon boats went the way of the car and ute market: built for one buyer somewhere else in the country, or somewhere else in the world, and sold as is. We saw a gap. No two boaties have the same needs or experience on the water, so one boat can't fit everyone. Amp Boats started with a simple idea: a budget-friendly base boat with all the bits you need, built as a platform that's easy to add to with options and upgrades. And we're always open to custom builds and customer layouts. Alloy tough, Southland built. The 4x4 of the H2O.
THE TEAM
Mike
Founder & Boat Builder. Spent years building boats around Southland before backing himself and starting AMP in a farm shed. Mike designs every layout and still has his hands on the builds. Ask him if something can be done and the answer's usually "yeah, we can do that".
Darren
Boat Builder & 2IC. Whatever the job, big or small, Darren makes it happen. A seasoned Southland alloy builder who built "Prestige" and "Woosah" as his own personal boats, and he's already working on something new… watch this space.
